Dr. Karan Garg brings together experience in business expansion, international trade, public institutions and legal-regulatory strategy. Based at TLGS’s New Delhi headquarters, he leads Collaborations & Strategic Growth, working with industrial groups, public-sector enterprises, overseas manufacturers, investors and specialist advisers to connect a business objective with a practical route to implementation.

His commercial experience spans oil and gas, mining and minerals, defence-related industries, engineering products and other strategic supply chains. His work includes market development, cross-border collaborations, transaction preparation and the coordination of commercial and regulatory requirements. International assignments and relationships have involved markets across Asia, the CIS region, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, including Moscow, Tel Aviv and Bishkek.

Infrastructure and public procurement form another substantial part of his work. His experience covers tender strategy, bid preparation, project structuring and institutional coordination across EPC and PPP opportunities in airports, metro and rail systems, energy, industrial infrastructure and related sectors. He also works on growth and regulatory questions affecting healthcare, financial services, technology-enabled enterprises and emerging business models.

A former Judge in the Punjab judiciary and former Registrar at the Supreme Court of India, he brings an understanding of institutional processes and dispute strategy to this wider commercial role. His experience includes Supreme Court and High Court matters, securities-regulatory appeals and other tribunal proceedings. At TLGS, this background informs the assessment of contract risk, regulatory exposure and complex disputes, alongside coordination with instructed counsel and the relevant specialists.

His public-sector advisory experience includes work with the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and consultant and senior-advisory assignments with HLL Infra Tech Services Limited (HITES). These assignments complement his experience of advising industrial houses and enterprises on market access, public-sector requirements, project development and implementation challenges.

His wider roles include Director, House of Startups India; Vice-Chairman, CSR Committee, Ekal Abhiyaan; and Advisor to the South Asian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
