The executive brief
The decision in front of the business.
01Separate investible transmission concessions, brownfield works and battery-storage deployment.
02The scheme creates a long-duration pipeline, but project economics and qualification arise at the individual package level. Transmission developers should assess tariff risk, connectivity interfaces, land access and financing requirements. Storage providers should establish the deployment location and the revenue framework before sizing commercial participation.

The facts that shape the opportunity.
The development
The total scheme outlay is ₹1,86,405 crore, targeted through FY 2032–33. Greenfield intra-state projects use tariff-based competitive bidding with BOOM participation by transmission service providers; brownfield strengthening uses cost-plus arrangements. State Transmission Utilities have overall implementation responsibility.

Commercial implications
The scheme creates a long-duration pipeline, but project economics and qualification arise at the individual package level. Transmission developers should assess tariff risk, connectivity interfaces, land access and financing requirements. Storage providers should establish the deployment location and the revenue framework before sizing commercial participation.
Participation and execution
OEMs and contractors can map substations, lines, protection systems and integration work as State Transmission Utilities define packages. The programme total belongs in strategic intelligence rather than the individual-project investment ranking; greenfield BOOM and cost-plus upgrades require different commercial approaches.
