UK guidance published on 4 September 2026 records that CETA entered into force on 15 July 2026. It also sets India’s graduation from the UK’s DCTS for 15 July 2028.

Exporters should make a product-level comparison of preference routes and origin evidence during the transition. The existence of an FTA does not mean every product is immediately duty-free or that a shipment can claim preference without documentation.
